WTF? How did this game get massive downloads? Over 5M downloads just on Google Play in less than 3 weeks. But 5K on iOS?

First of all, happy Thanksgiving!
Although I’m here in India working away. I appreciate my family, who has allowed me to spend time away even on Thanksgiving to pursue my dream of trying to build a meaningful company. I’m also highly thankful to the other folks here at Lila who have entrusted me and the other leads here with their time and effort to build something we hope will someday be great.

This week, we check out Hookah Games’ Sandbox in Space game, which has been racking up downloads and hit #4 worldwide downloads last week.
After playing the game, I realized you need to smoke hookah to understand the game…

My Talking Tom 2 still cranking as a top downloaded game. Having said that, somebody needs to create a better AI version and take over.

Ok, first of all, this is a weird game.
You put a bunch of characters, spaceships, and other objects into a space environment, then animate them all to battle each other:
Oh, and you get spammed by ads like there’s no tomorrow.

Android Downloads:
Note there is $0 of IAP store revenue, meaning the game monetizes solely from advertising.
This was very bizarre. Over 5M downloads on Android but only 5K downloads on iOS.
In summary, I’m not sure what to take away besides this seems pretty fishy to me and that I’d really love to figure out how the game got 5M downloads on Android.
