Top 10 Steam Games
Helldivers 2 launched on February 8, 2024, and was developed by Arrowhead Game Studios and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for PlayStation 5 and Windows.
This sequel to the 2015 top-down shooter "Helldivers" transitioned to a third-person shooter but kept its coop gameplay. Upon release, "Helldivers 2" received positive reviews, an aggregate score of 80/100 on Metacritic for PC and 84/100 for PS5.
The game sold approximately 1 million units within three days of its release.
🔦 One Punch Man: World continues the success of Japanese games IP for mobile
Although downloads have dropped quite a bit, One Punch Man: World still generates healthy downloads with about 85K on February 13th, according to data.ai estimates.
However, this is a massive drop from its high of almost 17.5M on February 1.
If you aren’t aware, “One Punch Man" is a very popular Japanese anime that originally started as a webcomic.
Two other games based on the One Punch Man IP are live including One Punch Man: The Strongest, a team-battle based RPG game and One Punch Man: Road to Hero 2.0 which is an idle RPG.
Unfortunately, both of the other One Punch Man games do not seem to be doing very well.
One Punch Man: World was developed by Perfect World and published by Crunchyroll Games. It's an action RPG that enables players to play as different characters from the anime series, and it follows the anime’s first-season storyline.
Here’s a pretty good summary of the gameplay:
Despite the massive downloads for the game, revenue is a bit low having only crossed $100K/day in net revenue a few times. Revenue now sits around $50K as of the writing of this post.
The game also seems to generate the majority of its revenue from the US.
