This is a very comprehensive analysis. Thank you very much. One question and one minor quibble: 1) How did you determine the cost of the individual boosters since you canβt buy them individually in the store? 2) I think for your final analysis of the value of 109,000 coins you should actually use the purchase price of the largest pack in the store which is 100,000 coins at $129 (Canadian probably $99 USD) instead of using the individual pack of the 1,000 amount of coins. The discount will probably reduce to 90%. Nevertheless, the conclusion remains unchanged from your analysis. Excellent article.
Thanks for your kind words. I am glad that you liked the analysis. About your queries -
1. I calculated the cost of boosters (level start(Rocket, TNT, Light Ball) and in- game boosters (Arrow, Cannon, Jester Hat/Shuffle, Royal Hammer) in a way that if you want to buy Rocket from level start you can buy 3 for 900 coins and it is not directly there in the shop but from the level start screen you can do that so I calculated the cost of Rocket booster as 300 = 900/3) and similarly for other boosters.
2. I used individual pack of 1000 coin to get the best value as there will be time when Royal Match may run sale and for that duration the discount could come down even further so I used 1000 coin pack to avoid that pitfall.
hi, i really like your article. i have learned alot. i have 1 question about the live in battle pass, i see u counted 73 but i dont really understand why its 73? can you help me out
I am glad that you liked the article. For calculating 73 lives and other booster rewards which were given as infinite reward for 15m, 30 min and so on, I have shared in the article that the avg session time is 3 min and assuming each session the user gets and uses the reward (in this case lives, then maximum how many lives will be given is calculated). I had calculted total 195 min of lives (from explicit live reward or part of chest rewards) which means total 65 lives plus 8 lives separately as the first reward so total maximum 73 lives are given in the paid battle pass. Same calculation is used for other infinite timed rewards like TNT, rockets etc.
